International Early College (IEC)

 

 

The International Early College (IEC) at the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ (ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½) is designed for international partner school students to pursue their American university degree with innovative instruction modality, program affordability and degree completion flexibility. IEC is a special pathway program that allows high school students outside the United States to earn a pre-selected academic degree, or other degrees, in less time and at a lower cost.

Pre-Selected Degrees

Students may enroll in the IEC program during their high school junior and senior years to earn ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ credit by taking IEC courses online, on-campus (during summer as a cohort) or in a hybrid format. Students may also earn eligibility for OPT internship (F-1 Optional Practical Training) when they attend ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ in person in the United States for a minimum of one academic year.

Admission Requirements

  • iBT TOEFL 61, IELTS 5.5, Duolingo 95 or ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Proficiency Test 61
  • High School GPA of 2.5
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 will be required for MATH 1111 and/or ENGL 1020 if placement scores are unavailable.

Class Schedule

IEC classes follow 8-week sessions with new sessions starting in January, March, May, August and October. The anticipated course load per 8-week session is 1-2 courses depending on academic status and cohort enrollment.

Some IEC programs are 100% online/hybrid degrees with no physical attendance at the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ campus in Warrensburg. Other IEC programs will require on-campus enrollment in Warrensburg which will qualify students for an OPT internship. IEC students may choose to attend ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ in Warrensburg anytime after completing the first two years of study of the IEC program.

  • Online classes: 30 days before the start of 8-week session
  • In-person classes as follows:
    • Spring (January and March): October 1
    • Fall (August and October): June 1
    • Summer (May, June, and July): March 1
