Criminal Justice Team Captures 20th Consecutive National ACJA-LAE Title

While finding a place to display 19 new trophies may pose a small problem for an award-winning program, it is a welcome challenge for the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½â€™s Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. This shiny new hardware comes after a team of students and faculty members captured ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½â€™s 20th consecutive Sweepstakes Award at the American Criminal Justice Association-Lambda Alpha Epsilon (ACJA-LAE) National Conference Competition.

SGA Awards to Long, Chancler Honor Governance, Service

Having grown up in a family that placed a high value on earning a college degree, Dr. Mary Long understands the benefits of a higher education, but also knows the pathway toward earning a degree often comes for many students with challenges, both academically and financially. When the former member of the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Board of Governors was presented the James C. Kirkpatrick Excellence in Governance Award on March 23 she reminded students to never give up in pursuit of their education goals.

Amos Receives 2023 Governor's Award for Excellence in Education

Michelle L. Amos, Ed.D., a ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ faculty member who colleagues praise for her impeccable work ethic and high level of dedication to students’ success and well-being, has received the 2023 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education. She was honored on March 23 by the university’s Board of Governors.
