WARRENSBURG, MO – The ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ student chapter of the American Institute of Building Design has been recognized as the AIBD Student Chapter of the Year for the second consecutive year.

ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ AIBD chapter members celebrating the Chapter of the Year Award are, front row, left to right, Nicole Schneider, Taylor Shortell, Benjamin Berry, Amber Vonderheide, Dominic Bass; back row, Bryan Dotson, Bobbie Williams, Stephen Land, Adam Palmer, Tyler Kringen and Nikolas Frazier.

Under the leadership of ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ alumna Alix Calon, who was president of the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ chapter of AIBD during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years, AIBD held the first annual ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Build and Design Day at ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ in March 2016. Calon coordinated the event, bringing students together with professionals in the residential design industry to network. The ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ chapter also hosted the event in April 2017.

The annual event is available to all ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ students, as well as students invited to attend from regional high schools, technical colleges and universities. The goal of the conference is to reach all students interested in or currently pursuing a degree in architectural drafting and technology, interior design, construction management, and engineering.
