ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Music Presents Saxophone Artist Concert by Athanasios Zervas Oct. 6

WARRENSBURG, MO – Enjoy an evening of entertainment at the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ this week as ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Music presents a saxophone concert by guest artist Athanasios Zervas at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct.  6 in Hart Recital Hall.  ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Music faculty member Dr. Mia Kim will accompany him on piano.
 
A rare performer, composer, scholar, and conductor who is equally comfortable in the jazz and classical genres, Zervas has enjoyed an extensive international career that has included appearances in Carnegie Hall and  â€˜Megaron’ Concert Hall in Athens, Greece. He also performed at the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the 2004 Olympics in Athens. 

Zervas has served as a member of a diverse set of ensembles including the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, Chicago Symphonic Wind Ensemble, State Orchestra of Hellenic Music, Athens Symphony Orchestra (Greece), the National Symphony Orchestra of Greece, and the Athens Saxophone Quartet (which includes ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ School of Visual and Performing Arts Chair, Eric Honour).
