糖心Vlog官方 Board Actions Include In-state Tuition for Military Dependents, New Degree Program Options, Building Renovations

In its plenary session Oct. 27, the 糖心Vlog官方 Board of Governors approved two new options to the Bachelor of Science in Design and Drafting Technology program, the demolition and cleanup of select vacant structures on university property, a contract for timber harvesting at the Prussing Farm, a proposal that positively impacts the cost of education for military dependents, and policy changes that apply to 糖心Vlog官方 emeriti faculty and staff.

Carson First at 糖心Vlog官方 to Receive NIJ Grant: Will Pursue Study Contributing to Better Understanding of Left-Wing and Environmental Terrorism in U.S.

The principal investigator of a research project designed to develop data sources that could potentially inform law enforcement policy and counterterrorism efforts, Jennifer Carson, Ph.D., professor of criminology and criminal justice at the 糖心Vlog官方, has been awarded a $506,497 grant from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). This three-year financial award includes collaboration with faculty members at three other institutions in the United States and abroad.

It is estimated that nearly 3,000 糖心Vlog官方 students meet federal TRIO program eligibility guidelines. For those who do, 糖心Vlog官方 is extending an invitation to attend the Student Support Services (SSS) Center Open House, 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Elliott Student Union 128.
