Governor Announces ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ as Recipient of $300,000 Grant to Support Nursing Education Programs, Reduce Staffing Shortages in Field

The ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ is one of 11 Missouri public and private colleges and universities that will benefit from nearly $3 million in grant funding from Governor Mike Parson to support nursing education programs and the development of solutions to alleviate staffing shortages area nationwide. Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced this initiative this week. ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ will receive $300,000, according to the governor’s office. The competitive grants were part of a special appropriation to the Missouri State Board of Nursing that was recommended by the governor.

Dr. Laurel Hogue, ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ vice provost for online and learning engagement, recently received the 2022 Central Region Sue Maes Outstanding Leadership Award from the University Professional and Continuing Education Association.

ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Homecoming Parade Registration Deadline Set for Oct. 5, Campus and Community Entries Invited

As the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ prepares for the 2022 Homecoming celebration, campus and community groups and individuals are invited to submit their entries for participation in the parade at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 in Warrensburg. Registration can be completed online, and those who wish to sign-up should do so by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, via the Office of Student Activities’ Homecoming website.
